This brief work covers two major events in the Carpathia’s life, her construction and uneventful maiden voyage, and her very eventful role the night of the Titanic disaster. The booklet is nicely photo illustrated; and not with just the standard survivors-on-Carpathia photos, although there are some of those as well. There are also some rarer shots, including a few of Carpathia in drydock, some of the ship’s interiors, plus a photo of her Marconi operator, Cottam, and a terrific shot of the ship’s crew taken on deck after the disaster.

There is also a nice photo portrait of Titanic’s sixth officer, James Moody, which I don’t recall ever having seen before.
