The Titanic Book Site.com celebrates it’s third anniversary today. New features that were introduced to the site this year include:

Research Articles. A selection of articles on various subjects covering Titanic and/or book collecting. There are five articles thus far, and more to come as time permits.

New Book Notification Service. Titanic remains a popular subject and new titles continue to be published. I am now sending out e-mail notices to anyone who would like to know about new releases. If you would like to sign up for the notification service, just check out the main page of the web site and you will see the link just under the table of contents.

Books Beyond Titanic. Of perhaps more dubious use is this addition to the site this year. It is devoted to books on subjects other than Titanic that I enjoyed reading. There are a lot of excellent books on other maritime subjects out there, and that is mostly where I focus my attention on this page. But not always, so expect the unexpected!

There are now 210 Author Pages, which include over 360 images of book covers. 95 books, old and new, have been added to the Book Lists in the past year. An additional 12 artists and photographers have been added to the Illustrator Index as well.

This has been the year of the Great Book Hunt, and several friends deserve special recognition for their amazing efforts in unearthing titles that I had not been aware of. Dru Schillow and Patty Miller stand up and take a bow. You two are an inspiration! Thanks also go to Fiona Nitschke and Kalman Tanito who have both unearthed some very interesting titles as well.

So what’s ahead for the future? Well, now, that would be telling. There are plenty of ideas I would still like to bring to fruition, some more complicated than others. Time and energy remain the challenges, slowing down the introduction of new content. But keep in touch and we will see what the new year brings.

All the best, Michael (TheManInBlack) Tennaro.
