This book is another in the long list of modern titles that retell the Titanic story, but Marriott’s book stands out above all the others of its kind. The author really did his homework for this book, with the result that each paragraph is bursting with information. It is the most in-depth overview of the entire Titanic story I have read yet. As is also typical with this kind of book, it is profusely illustrated with many of the photos usually found in books on the subject.
