This book details the stories of 22 women who bravely faced hardships and/or disaster over the centuries. The Titanic connection is the story of Edith Evans, who gave up her place in a lifeboat in favor of a married woman. For Evans, it was the ultimate sacrifice, as she did not survive the sinking.
There was a second printing in 1914.
