The story of Alice Cleaver, nurse to the Allison children. The Allison family was one of the very few first class families to be lost in the Titanic disaster. The only survivor was the Allison’s baby boy, who was saved by Cleaver. Before the Titanic, Cleaver had been accused of murdering a child previously in her charge. This book attempts to prove that she was innocent of that charge. Also that the relatively negative part attributed to her on the night of the disaster was unfair and untrue. Claims to have been written by one of Cleaver’s daughters, though there seems to be some doubt about this.
