This work carries on with the format that has become popular in recent years in Titanic books for young readers. The text covers very basic information about the ship, the disaster and the discovery of the wreck, combined with lots of photos. The text size is large and with images on most pages, this book seems like it should be aimed at a younger crowd than its target audience of the 9 to 12 age group. Aside from a few blunders with the facts, it is certainly a solid beginner’s book on the subject. Young readers with advanced reading skills will probably find this book too limiting, however, as will kids who have already read a lot on the subject.
