Clary, Jim. The Last True Story of Titanic. N. Ireland & Brooklyn: Domhan Books. 1998. wraps. isbn: 1583450009. scarcity: hard to find.

A brief overview of the Titanic story with later chapters concentrating more on some of the stranger theories surrounding the incident. One of the later chapters also contains a twelve page interview with survivor Edwina Troutt McKenzie done in 1981. It is interesting to hear about events in the survivor’s own words, but she was at an advanced enough age by this time that the interview wanders a great deal, and touches only on highlights.

The final chapter, the author’s Last True Titanic Story of the book seems to be the real gist of the volume. Here Clary promotes the theory that the ship was driven at half speed for 20 to 30 minutes after she hit the berg; and that this action severely shortened the stricken liner’s last moments afloat.
