American Inquiry
Testimony of Andrew Cunningham, page 796
Mr. CUNNINGHAM. When I came in the boat there was Smith, a fireman; another fireman whose name I do not know; Hemmings; Foley; and the quartermaster.
Senator SMITH. Yourself and your mate, and, you picked up another man?
Mr. CUNNINGHAM. Yes; Prentiss (sp), the storekeeper.

We have previously placed Cunningham in #4.

Discussion included the fact that in his later accounts, including his 1982 video interview, that Mrs. Virginia Clark, also in #4, was in his boat. The May 3, 1912 edition of The Courier gives his first person account where he says his bottle of brandy that he brought with him was thrown overboard, which was a detail mentioned by other people who were in lifeboat 4.
