Despite wildly different descriptions in various accounts, Mrs. Futrelle was consistent in a few accounts of having "Paddy" McGough (Able Seaman George McGough) and the Lines women in her boat. Daily Boston Globe, April 17, 1932: She mentioned "Paddy" (McGough) being in charge of her boat and specified it was boat #9. She also mentioned a Boston woman and her mother (Mary and Elizabeth Lines) and a French Woman (Miss Aubart). In the Boston Traveler, April 15, 1949, she again mentions boat #9 and "Paddy" McGough. |
